The public workshops provide an opportunity to gather input from a diverse group of local stakeholders and the public. This information assists The Texas Department of Transportation (TxDOT) in making decisions regarding funding awards. It also serves to identify how to best use regional resources to serve the mobility needs of the community.
TxDOT is seeking the participation of, seniors, individuals with disabilities, representatives of public, private, and nonprofit transportation and human service providers, and other members of the public who share TxDOT’s goal of improving the local mobility services for seniors and individuals with disabilities.
The next round of regional public workshops will be during December 2022 and January 2023. For the full schedule and statewide survey, visit the TxDOT Section 5310 website here.
The Enhanced Mobility of Seniors and Individuals with Disabilities Program, also known as the FTA §5310 Program, is intended to fully integrate with other federal, state, and local resources and programs that are designed to serve similar populations. This is done through regionally developed public transportation coordination plans and public workshops.
